Potty Time!

Today was a big day for Hunter...he went to the potty all by himself. We have been working really hard these last few weeks to transition him into 'big boy' undies. He's been doing really well but tonight was his biggest achievement so far...he went to the bathroom, pulled down his pants and went to the potty all by himself. Daddy heard the toilet flush and went to check it out. Boy was he suprised when he found Hunter with his pants stuck around his feet. Poor little guy couldn't figure out how to get them back up. (Good thing too because according to daddy, he didn't have very good aim!) We are all super proud of Hunter and even more excited that our diaper days are behind us! Woo hoo!!!!

Welcome Baby Kittens!

On June 29, 2009, our family grew by six...six kittens that is! Our cute little Pumpkin is now a proud mommy! She waited to give birth until 2 days after we got back from vacation. She had the kittens on Billy's birthday! What a great present! Pumpkin had 2 little girls and 4 little boys! She is a great mommy and boy are the kittens cute! After a few changes, Hannah has finally settled on names for all of the kittens (we think!). Their names are: Garfield, Hershey, Patch, Shadow, Harry Potter, and Butterball.

Aunt Cari's Wedding

We packed our bags and headed to Myrtle Beach last month for the long awaited wedding of our favorite Aunt Cari. We are so happy to have Uncle Matt as an 'official' member of the family now!

In addition to the wedding, we also got to spend a week having fun! Hannah and Hunter both loved the water and had a ball playing on the beach. They also enjoyed games at the game park down the street from our house...Hannah is a pro at bull riding (enjoy the videos below!). Mommy, Hannah and Papa even went parasailing (boy, were we high!). Everyone had fun and enjoyed the much needed break. Aunt Cari looked so beautiful on her wedding day! We were all lucky to be a part of it! We can't wait for our next family vacation!

Big Buck Down!

Billy and Hannah have spent a lot of time over the last few months trying to get a BBD (for all of you non-hunters that means Big-Buck-Down)! So far the count is one for Billy and zero for Hannah. The hunt is back on this weekend for kid’s weekend. We’re keeping our fingers crossed for Hannah. Mommy will be hanging out at home (again) with Hunter. We’ll join the hunt in a few years…but for now, we’ll let the big kids of the family have all the fun!

Halloween Fun!

The kids had fun trick-or-treating this year twice…once at Uncle Brian’s and once at home. Hannah wanted to be an Indian girl and she wanted Hunter to be a turkey so that she could hunt him. It took Hunter a while to warm up to trick-or-treating but daddy swears that he was loving it the second time around (Mommy was at school). Hannah, on the other hand, is a pro. She got so much candy that we had to send it to work with Billy!

The Chapman Family Home

Most of you know that the Chapman family got one of our biggest wishes last year...our own home! We closed on our house in January 08 and moved our family from Canal Winchester to Lancaster. Unfortunately, we didn't get to move in right away because the house needed some MAJOR updates! (I think Billy would have been fine with the 1960's decor but I was definitely not feeling it!) Lucky for us, Nana and Papa let us move in for several months while we updated our house. Even luckier for us, we have a wonderful, loving, awesome, generous, and patient family full of talented handy men and women! (Can you tell that I am thankful for the 12 weeks that they dedicated to nothing but working on our house?) After months of hard work, we were able to move into our beautiful new (at least on the inside) home in April. Thanks to all of you who helped us create such a wonderful place to raise our kids and build memories. We love you all so much!

This is the outside of our house. So far all we have done is define the flower beds. The grass used to grow right up to the house! Billy broke a sweat with this project! My role was the one I do best when it comes to hard labor....supervise!
